Though if you have a soft spot for nostalgic retro platformers, you may look past the de ja vu thoughts to enjoy a fairly decent, yet short retro platformer that's based off of a hilariously awful movie!:https://youtu.be/R7YxwaNKqLc. Somehow this game manages to be worse than the movie upon which it is based. The gameplay is bland, half of the levels are slow autoscrollers for no reason, there's no way to rebind the controls for keyboard and there's no way to turn down the awful sound effects. The UFO makes the worst sound I've ever heard. To its credit, the music is ok and the art in the cutscenes is pretty good, but that doesn't help the fun factor. I've been following this game since before it was Greenlit, but I just can't recommend it as is.. If LJN were still around this is the game they would make.. It's a nice, NES-style game but it has a few annoyances:Can't customize the controlsAbsolutely no graphic options or resolutions, fullscreen/windowed or anything.Unskippable "cutscenes" with text appearing letter by letter on the screen.. MANOS is basically the Dark Souls of video game adaptations of public domain b-movies.. Loving it so far. The graphics, sound and music are blasting my sense with joy!
